The Selection by Kiera Cass is an incredibly well-written book with a gripping plot that holds our attention right up until the very last word. It's unexpectedly entertaining.

America Singer, a 17-year-old, believes she has her life figured out. She is putting money aside to wed Aspen, a family patron and lower caste member of Illéa who is also her neighbor. It takes a lot of persuasion to get her to enter the drawing when she has the chance to compete with 34 other women for Prince Maxon's hand. She finally caves in since her family depends on her. America only participates in the game for the pitiful remuneration her parents receive on regularly a regular basis from the royal family.

The plot revolves around a classic love triangle in which Prince Maxon falls for a young woman. Aspen, her first love, who opposes it, convinces her to agree to participate in the selection process. The "game" is the method Maxon will use to choose his future queen and wife.

America hates the selection process as a whole, but after getting to know the prince and seeing that he is a gullible victim of tradition, she starts to change her mind.

The original group of thirty-five is reduced to six at the book's conclusion.

The Selection by Kiera Cass has incredibly well-developed characters throughout, and it also has a vividly portrayed setting. Following our heroine and her two loves at every turn made you feel as though you were a part of the story.

Although this book is categorized as a young adult novel, I'm sure it will appeal to those who aren't quite that young.

The Selection is unquestionably a must-read, to sum up. It includes comedy, romance, suspense, and action. The series has five novels, so you can read more about America's adventure after finishing The Selection. You won't be able to put this book down.
