Ourchildhood games were always fun. We had a unique set of games that were a combination of creativity, imagination, and pure silliness. We kids from the early 2000s used to play many outdoor and indoor games . But as teenagers, the games evolved to a new level. The rules are sometimes the same but now the stakes are higher. So, let’s look at the games.
As kids the girls the huge fan of barbie dolls, from their makeup to dresses they had everything. Then came the kitchen sets and doctor sets. We girls sometimes even made the boys play with us.
Also, there was a whole board game world- ludo, snakes and ladders, etc. And lets not forget the best tic tac toe on the back of our notebooks in school.
And stone, paper, scissors was the one that could be played anywhere and was our all-time favorite.
How many of you made a haunted house at home? Well, I did and it was so much fun.
Our outdoor games were no less fun. Chain-chain (pulling each other’s hands like anything), pakdam pakdai, pitthoo (hitting the stack of stones with a ball), stapoo (drawing squares with numbers on them and jumping in them), chor police, etc.
Later, as we got older, we started playing more professional games like badminton, kho-kho, cricket, football, basketball, chess, etc.
But the silly and amusing games never left our lives. How many of you played pen fight and putting the sharper in the pictures on each page of the book in school?
UNO, monopoly, bottle flip, truth and dare (veg and non-veg), 21, and Chinese whisper were the best of all.
Do tell me the classics of yourchildhood which I haven’t mentioned here.
So, there you have it, some of the classic games we played in past. These games may seem simple, but they provided hours of entertainment and helped us develop our creativity, agility, and teamwork skills.
