The living conditions in North Korea are so horrible that the people living there don't have any food to eat, they don't have running water, they have to go to rivers to drink water, take baths, wash clothes. There is no freedom in North Korea, every single thing is decided by the government. If someone does something which is not permitted by the government that person is executed.

North Korea is said to be the darkest place in the world by the North Korean defectors because there is no electricity. People in North Korea do not know about God or religion. The Kim government is considered as God there. People are not aware much about the outside world. People living there aren't even aware of words like oppression, liberty and compassion leading to them not being aware about the concept of human rights and the concept of freedom.

The North Korean government is so brutal that depending on the type of crime they arrest 3-8 generations of the family and punish them. There are two types of crimes in North Korea: political and economic crime. And depending upon their type of crime they are sent to the prison as there are 3 types of prisons: The concentration camp, The labor camp and The re-education camp. The re-education camp has less than 2 years of sentence, The prison camp has 10 years of sentence and The political prison camp has life time sentence.

According to the North Korean defectors after Kim Jong Un coming to power their is no way to escape North Korea as he has installed land mines, and facial recognition cameras from China on borders and army officers at the border at the distance of 10 meters with machine guns making it impossible to escape from that dark and brutal place.
