Trust . It is a strong word to use and feel. Well not a negative emotion of the human mind per se as I have talked about before. But this simple word can trigger a lot of negative emotions out of you. Be it hurt, anger, fear, frustration, or sadness. Trust , when broken, can take up a lot to get over with.
To trust someone is like opening yourself up to them. Leaving your raw, untamed emotions bare in front of them. Confidence, dependability, sincerity all binds together to form a single factor. The belief or faith you have makes up the fact that you trust them. But you know something strange? A person can try and bring out all other emotions from you. But trust? It is something earned. A bond which is based on confirmation that that person has your back when things go down south.
I have often heard that it takes a lot of time andeffort to build a trust in a relationship. But one wrong move and it breaks within seconds. The connection of comfortability and sincerity is severed and doubt creeps in. People with trust issues take a lot of time to heal from their past . They either find it difficult to trust someone easily or try to distance themselves from groups.
But the trust over one’s own self should always be there. One should be confident enough to trust and believe their own minds. There should be no self-doubt or hesitation to speak your mind. Trust goes both ways. But loyalty should never be on the line to risk.
“You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment unless you trust enough.” Frank Crane.
