Subsequently, he has worked with top organisations like Kantar and Publicis.

The Alumni Coach series which started as a Placement Board Exclusive last semester with a vision of creating a high calibre cadre of industry-ready professionals, featuring the career journeys/ stories of the immediate seniors of the current students of the TSOM- their insights, their struggles, their challenges, and their successes. The vision of this whole platform is to expose, train, and prepare the students for a higher plane of existence – both in the way they operate and the exposure they receive.

In the session, Shukla shared his college experience doing various PR and marketing projects which ultimately led him to take a keen interest in the arena of research.

Naming his presentation “The Road Taken” (a play on “The Road Not Taken” a poem by Robert Frost) he explained how he ended up in the media world coming from a science background.

“Failure is your greatest teacher, college prepares you for the outside world in this matter, you make mistakes here, so you don’t make them in the industry,” said Shukla.

The main focus of these sessions is that the students have a live interaction with the people preceding them immediately which was a success. Students asked Mr. Shukla questions regarding academics and college life in general.
