Greater Noida:Bennett University students interacted with Sadhguru at the Mental Health Conclave 2022 organised in GL Bajaj College on December 2.
At the Conclave the students wanted to know what they could do to balance their academic life with personal life. “It depends on how you manage your time,”Sadhguru said.
According to him, “Literate people have so many problems compared to illiterate people when education should provide solutions to all the problems. If education gives you a sharp intellect, then it is a wonder why people do not know how to manage issues and that is why they end up with mental issues.”
Sadhguru then asked the audience what would they choose to have in their lives: bliss or misery? When the audience replied bliss, Sadhguru said: “So if you are in heaven, then why are you making the hell out of it? If you are in goodmental health , it is you who is creating those issues for yourself and only you can fix it.”
The audience was curious to know why Sadhguru chose to ride a bike for the ‘Save Soil’ campaign. To this he replied: “…to wake people up! When I am alive people sleep and when I tried to kill myself by riding the bike it made noise which awoke millions of people.”
Bennett University students found the session with Sadhguru insightful and inspiring. Anushree Sinha, a third-year BAJMC student said, “This is the first time I have heard Sadhguru. He is very Gen ‘z’ and youthful.”
Shub Bharadwaj, second-year Bennett University student who was part of the moderation panel, said that he had a wonderful experience talking to Sadhguru. “I agree with Sadhguru’s statement that we should not focus on what others are doing rather we should focus on ourselves, and this will create lessmental health issues for ourselves.”
The Bennett University team was led by Associate Professors Dr Tilak Jha and Dr Moina Khan.
