Congress faces huge losses in Punjab polls

The heavyweights of the Indian NationalCongress including Charanjit Singh Channi , Navjot Singh Sidhu and former Congress leader Capt. Amarinder Singh , are trailing by a huge margin of votes ranging from 3,000 to 40,000, as per the Election Commission website.
AAP is on the shores of victory even as it is leading on 90 seats with a total of 117 seats in the state. The party has managed to receive 42.2% of the votes while Congress lags behind with 23.1% votes. In the 2017 Assembly Elections, Congress bagged a total of 38.5% of votes.
Punjab Congress PresidentNavjot Singh Sidhu is behind his AAP rival, Jeevan Jyot Kaur on his Amritsar (East) seat by a margin of 3,000 votes.
Amarinder Singh trails on his home-turf
Also, the former CM Captain, Amarinder Singh, who posted a picture of playing chess on Instagram seems to be trailing on his home-turf Patiala. He is lagging behind by a margin of approx 14,000 votes. The AAP candidate Ajit Pal Singh Kohli is leading at this seat. He has bagged in a total of 45.21% votes.
Charanjit Singh Channi on verge of losing both seats
The data from Election Commission website states that the current CM of Punjab andINC Candidate, Charanjit Singh Channi trails on his Chamkaur Sahib seat by a margin of 3,000 votes from Charanjit Singh of AAP. CM Charanjit is losing on his other seat Bhadaur to AAP candidate Labh Singh Ugoke by 20,000 votes. If the trends follow the same path, the CM will end up losing both of the seats.
On the other hand, early celebrations have already started taking place at Former Comedian and AAP CM candidateBhagwant Mann ’s house and the trends seem to justify the celebrations too. Bhagwant Mann is leading by a margin of 40,000 votes from his seat Dhuri. The INC candidate, Dalvir Singh Goldy is trailing with 19.9% votes.
