“Make sure that you are using each other’s wealth of knowledge to create projects, events and so many more productive things,” the Registrar and Dean of Academics, Dr. Veena Dutta said to freshers of batch of 2023, Bennett University, during the first orientation of Deeksharambh with the faculty.

Dr. Dutta is a prominent figure in today’s education industry. Being an Academic Administration Professional Skilled in Coaching, strategy, Administration, Team Leadership, Accreditation, and Regulatory affairs, she gave the freshers confidence in her words through her achievements and credibility.

Dr. Dutta discussed the importance of keeping both parents and faculty mentors in the loop, “Your parents are the reason you’re here, they deserve to know how your academics are going and if and where you are lacking,” she said to give students a reassuring yet cautious warning of the thin line the students must walk on.

She also made a heavy emphasis on the importance of getting used to checking mails and stay updated with the possible changes in the academic calendar, “The number one tip I can give you for the professional world is staying on top of all the mails and assignments you receive on a daily basis, this habit I crucial in being a punctual and professional individual.”

“Disciplinary cases are the downfall of both your academic reputation and your scholarship, to retain the scholarship you will have to maintain a healthy 8 CGPA while also being on your best behavior,” she said to end her speech and inform the freshers of the status quo of Bennett University.

At the end of the lecture, Dr. Dutta told the students to look out for her important registrar mails and stay updated for the events taking place in campus.

A Curtain Call to Remember: Jashn-E-Cinema 2026

Jashn-E-Cinema 2026 embodied the university's vibrant cultural spirit through a night of unity, talent, and reflection. The highlight was BYOB Live's finale, where the audience joined in singing and swaying, blurring the stage and crowd in a shared, emotional celebration marking the year's end. The evening opened with a poignant badge ceremony honouring club leaders for their dedication, setting a reflective tone before the performances. Clubs showcased diverse talents: Advaita's energetic band set the musical rhythm; Cerebrum's witty Farzi Mushaira skit satirised poetry; Panache's ethnic-modern ramp walk dazzled visually; Verve's narrative Bollywood dance enthralled; Ansh's comedic theatre Big B chal Padhe delivered laughs; and Rivaaz's classical dance closed gracefully. Vikram Singh, Music Society Secretary, summed it up: “A great end to the year—a final goodbye, but a celebration of what we’ve built together.” The event was a farewell tapestry of collaboration, from quiet honours to explosive energy.
