'Squash'-ing begins in Sportikon 2024

The commencement ofSquash on day two of Sportikon grabbed the attention of students at Bennett University . There was intense competition in the Men's Singles Squash match, however, the number of participating teams was only four although they managed to put off a great game .
Thegame started with a powerful match between Amity University and Op Jindal , where Jindal started by creating dominance on Amity with scores 11-3, 11-6, and 13-11 in the first set of all three matches, but, towards the end of the second and third matches the Amity turned the table and scored 11-6, 11-8 in the second match and 11-5 and 11-4 in the third match by clinching the victory .
“Focus on one goal and try to execute it because squash is a technical game if you think of a lot of things and try to do all of them you get confused and very nervous, this was my first day at Bennett and I loved the crowd, courts, we get refreshments and we are treated like super guests,” said Robin Saxena,Amity University player.
The second match ofOP Jindal with Bennet Team A seemed an easy win for OP Jindal as they scored 11-3,11-5 and 11-6, 11-6 in the first and second matches, respectively. However, in the last match, Bennett Team A player, Rachit tried his best by giving a hard time to Jindal but failed, resulting in Jindal winning the match.

The Squash game continues with Bennett A defeating Bennett B team by 11-8,11-7 and 11-3,11-9 in the first and second matches, respectively, and moves forward, giving a challenge to Amity University. Amity, once again, continued with their winning streak by defeating Bennett A with 11-7,11-2 and 11-1,11-8 in the sets of first and second matches, respectively.
Bennett Team B discontinued the winning streak of OP Jindal’s first two matches against them but did not manage to clinch thevictory .
A match between Bennett Team B and Amity turns the heads of everybody as both the members of Bennett B, Manav and Param, gave a challenging time to Amity on the court, making the game more interesting. Amity's runs of luck were broken by Manav and Param however, Amity still managed to defeat them and walked to the finals against OP Jindal.
