Students of theSchool of Engineering put their coding and betting skills to a test in the ‘Bet for Tech’ event organized by IEEE on day two of the three-day Triverse Fest.
The event kicked off with the participants being divided into teams and the core team members of IEEE explained the rule of the game. The first round consisted of a competitive question and answer round, the second consisted of problem-solving and the third was rapid fire, “All three rounds included the participant betting if their opponent’s answer is right or wrong. The most challenging is the problem-solving, I think, because they really have to solve the math equations to get the answer right,” the head of the technical team, Rachit Kumar said.
The winning team will bag a cash prize-pool of Rs. 7,000 and the results will be announced after the fest comes to an end, “I think my team has a chance of winning, but overall the game was really exciting. I got to use my coding and math skills and the betting part just made it more interesting,” first-year Btech C.S.E student and participant, Khushi Tanwar said.
