TSOM, Innopolis University shake hands for AI Research Lab

Greater Noida: In moving with the times ofArtificial Intelligence , the Times School of Media (TSOM) at Bennett University came together with Russia’s Innopolis University to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would officiate the launch of a collaborative international AI-driven research lab at TSOM.
The MoU and the promise of innovative advancements and knowledge exchange between the two institutions was facilitated by the Dean – Times School of Media Dr. Sanjeev Ratna Singh alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Saurabh Sharma.

Representing Innopolis University was a delegation of 6 professors, helmed by Prof. Iskander Bariev – Deputy Director, Head of Advanced Engineering School, and Prof. Ramil Kuleev, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Centre.
Upon theIU delegation 's visit to Bennett University, they were cordially received by the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Bennett University, Prof. (Dr.) Ajith Abraham, alongside faculty and students from the Times School of Media. The IU stakeholders had a crucial meeting with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, wherein they discussed the finer details of the partnership and laid down the groundwork for the signing of the MoU.
The formalities were followed by a campus tour, with the tour’s stops including TSOM’s Radio Lab, TV Studio, and the recently built lab that would host the AI-driven research computers. During this tour, Prof. Bariev and Prof. Kuleev also sat down for a short student-led media interview that provided knowledge on the technology IU brings to the table with this MoU.
Offering animmersive experience and showcasing how this collaboration would enrich the constituent school’s work, TSOM Dean Dr. Singh displayed a few projects undertaken by the undergraduate students enrolled in the media programme. “In a world driven by the synergy of video and audio, automation of arduous tasks like secondary research is. This AI research lab will expedite content creation and ramp up production at marginal short-term costs,” he said.
The afternoon culminated with the leadership from Innopolis University imparting their knowledge and insights on AI to the students of Bennett University, igniting their curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. The meticulously planned visit with various engagement activities is sure to have fostered a mutual understanding and set the stage for afruitful partnership .
