TSOM students explore AI Research with Innopolis University

The delegates from the University of Innopolis, Russia interacted with students of Times School of Media in a session about the applications of Artificial Intelligence Research on Monday, February 26, 2024.

In the session, Iskander Bariev, the head of Advanced Engineering School, Innopolis University highlighted the joint research opportunities for both the universities in the AI domain and talked about practical applications of AI in various fields implemented at the Innopolis University.


The Director of Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Innopolis University, Dr. Ramil Kuleev shared various developments done in AI research like automatic monitoring systems, AI based solution for livestock farming practices, AI driven drug discovery platforms, screening of catalysts and AI Radiology and medical image analysis, “There is tremendous scope in AI Research and this MoU between our universities can open up doors to many more,” Kuleev said.

The joint AI lab was inaugurated as a part of the collaboration between Bennett University and Innopolis University earlier in the day about which the Pro Vice Chancellor of Bennett University, Ajith Abraham exhorted the students to explore the applications of AI in Media.

Students were given an opportunity to pitch their start-up ideas. Meta bees, a digital marketing brand that uses AI to make Virtual and Augmented Reality advertisements presented their brand, “The collaboration with Innopolis University on AI Research can help take our brand to the next level. I am keen to learn more about it and explore opportunities with Innopolis University,” B.Tech second year student and founder of Meta bees, Manas said.

To conclude the session, the Dean of Times School of Media, Sanjeev Ratan Singh addressed the students about the contribution of AI research in Mass Media and thanked the Russian Delegation for their insight into AI Research.
