Food has a way of bringing people together, and Food Bazaar 4.0 at Bennett University was a perfect example of this. Organised by students near the D5 stage, the event turned the campus into a lively food corner, giving students an opportunity to enjoy different flavours while also experiencing the basics of entrepreneurship.

Starting at 9 am and continuing through the evening, the bazaar featured more than 15 stalls offering a variety of food items at affordable prices. From popular street food such as golgappe, momos and chaat to sweet treats like fudge, muffins and doughnuts, there was something for everyone. The stalls attracted students throughout the day, with many visitors moving from one counter to another to explore the choices available.

Among the different food options, Korean cuisine caught the attention of several students. Korean food has become increasingly popular among young people, largely because of the growing influence of K-dramas and K-pop, along with its strong presence on social media. Dishes often seen in Korean shows and food videos have made students curious to experience these flavours themselves. Ramen, in particular, has gained attention for its spicy broth, variety of flavours and the experience of trying something different from regular street food. Its popularity at the bazaar reflected this growing interest in international food trends.

While Korean food attracted curious visitors, traditional Indian snacks remained equally popular. The golgappe and chaat stalls witnessed a steady crowd, as students enjoyed familiar street food alongside newer flavours. By around 3 pm, several stall owners had already sold a considerable portion of their food. Lucky draws organised during the event added to the excitement, allowing visitors to win discounts at different stalls and enjoy their food at even lower prices.

Beyond the food, the bazaar also provided a platform for students to understand what it takes to run a small business. Setting up a stall, managing products, interacting with customers and handling sales gave student participants a chance to experience the responsibilities of being a seller for a day. The stall owners expressed satisfaction with the response, as the steady flow of visitors helped them reach more customers and sell their products.

The event also encouraged other students who are interested in entrepreneurship to consider participating in similar activities in the future. For many, it was an opportunity to see how an idea could be turned into a small business experience, even within a university campus.

Food Bazaar 4.0 was therefore more than just an evening of snacks and refreshments. It brought together food, student creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, while giving visitors a chance to explore different tastes without spending much. The event showed how student-led initiatives can create meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
