Sukoon by Arohi: A Pause to Breathe, Share and Let Go

When life begins to feel overwhelming, sometimes what we need is not a long lecture or a perfect answer, but a little room to breathe. With this thought at its heart, Arohi introduced “Sukoon,” a mental-health initiative designed around stress-busting activities and the simple ideas of listening, support, inclusion and unwinding.

On 26th october 2026, the Arohi club hosted sukoon at 6:00pm in 101 NLG, Bennett University, The event was designed as a space for students to pause from their everyday pressures and engage in approachable, interactive activities, focusing on participation, reflection and connection rather than just talking about well-being.
Breathing Out the Pressure.

One of the planned activities was Balloon Breathing, participants had to take a deep breath and blow into a balloon. With every breath the balloon grew bigger. In the end, they popped it. The idea was simple - as balloon bursts, you let out your built-up tension. It connected breathing with actually letting go.

“Rate Your Stress” invites participants to notice how they are feeling instead of moving through the day without checking in with themselves. They first rate their stress on a scale of 1 to 10 and record it on a sheet. After taking part in the activity, they rate it again and compare the two responses. The exercise offers a simple way to reflect on whether the experience changed how they felt, without assuming that everyone will respond in the same way.

The next activity was 'Let It Go'-Tear Away', each student got an a4 sheet to write down their worries or problems. Once done, they cut it out and tore the paper apart to leave their stress behind.
From Stranger to Saathi
Connection is Share & Support . Participants are paired with someone they do not know and are encouraged to share a concern, thought or experience they have found difficult to talk about. Each person listens without judgement, after one participant has spoken, the roles reverse so both have an equal opportunity to be heard. The activity aims to build empathy, active listening and peer connection, reminding participants that support can begin with a conversation.

Together, the four activities reflect Sukoon’s central message: well-being can begin with small, accessible steps—taking a breath, recognising stress, expressing what feels heavy and listening to another person. The activities are not presented as a replacement for professional support, but as gentle ways to encourage self-awareness and supportive conversations. With Sukoon, Arohi brings attention to the importance of making space for mental and emotional well-being on campus. Sometimes, a pause can help us notice what we are carrying, sometimes, being heard can make a difference. And sometimes, finding a little sukoon begins with knowing that we do not have to navigate everything alone.
