The sessions were beyond theory, offering a glimpse into how AI works and equipping their participants with hands-on practical knowledge of AI and its implementation. The event also witnessed over 200 registrations, with more than 145 active attendees.

The event began with an engaging opening by Ms Sneh Gupta, Assistant Professor at the Times School of Media, who introduced the session topic in an interactive and insightful tone. She also explained the fundamentals of AI in a simple and relatable way. In the discussion, she also highlighted the importance of the modern and powerful application of AI, specifically early disease detection, explaining how technologies can easily detect critical illnesses at a very early stage, marking a revolutionary shift in healthcare. Her session made one thing very clear: AI is no longer the future; it is already saving many lives.
Adding to the discussion, Prof. Dr Rajeev Tiwari, Dean of the School of AI, shared his unique point of view on preparing students for an AI-driven world. He shared his thoughts that technical knowledge is not enough; students must develop the ability to think critically. Complimenting the topic of discussion, Prof. Dr Sumit Narula, Dean of the Times School of Media, spoke about the major role of media in shaping public awareness about AI and its future outlook, especially among the young generation. He also mentioned how communication can work as a bridge to fill the gap between complex technology and public understanding.

One of the important parts of the event was the session led by Dr Nimish Kapoor, senior scientist, AI trainer and science communication from the government of India. He brought a real-world AI application to life. He shared engaging examples of how AI is currently helping a lot of patients not only in India but globally- in different unique sectors like preventing blindness through early diagnosis and managing diabetes. These are not just concepts but have a real impact on the future of healthcare. Different perspectives and live examples made his session stand out to participants.

Dr Kapoor also introduced the concept of prompt engineering to the participants, explaining how AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini actually work, by mentioning that the quality of the outlook directly depends upon the clarity of the prompt, turning prompt writing into a powerful tool to learn. The overall event maintained a very strong focus on experimental learning and applications of AI in real-life healthcare scenarios.

The event wrapped up with a memorable virtual group picture, capturing the collective energy and engagement of attendees. More than just an event, it functioned as a launchpad- sparking curiosity, exploring AI beyond the classroom. Inside Lovejeet Alexander’s Bloomberg New Economy Masterclass

On March 10, 2025, Times School of Media at Bennett University hosted a masterclass by Lovejeet Alexander, Director - New Economy at Bloomberg, on modern financial journalism, the digital economy, and data-driven storytelling. Dhiraj Sir opened the session, discussing technological shifts in the economy before introducing Alexander, who contrasted the old economy (physical assets like factories) with the new (data, tech, and platforms like Amazon and Meta). He explored the attention economy—where attention builds influence and attracts capital—and narrative capital, where stories drive markets, citing GameStop, AI hype, Paytm's IPO, Adani volatility, and Zerodha's trust-based success. Alexander concluded with five principles for journalists: track capital flows, grasp industry tech, distinguish narrative from reality, value credibility over speed, and adopt a global mindset—stressing accuracy amid information-driven markets.
